A Blush Garden Wedding in the Alberta Coulee’s
Ben and Ashley have been together since Ashley was 13. Ashley’s dad never worried about whether or not Ben would take care of his little girl. He trusted him, and he could just see how much Ashley loved Ben from the way they looked at one another. As I think back to the first time that I saw Ben and Ashley together, I can say the same thing. Their love for one another is so apparent for others to see, and it’s beautiful!
I walked into the house where Ashley was getting ready and it had such a chill and relaxed vibe. Ashley was getting her hair and makeup done, the girls chit chatting around the table. As the dress and flowers were delivered the excitement grew. It was getting real but Ashley was still calm, she knew today was going to be perfect.
I have a certain way I photograph the ceremony. I stand little over half way up the aisle so I can get the groom’s reaction and then turn and get the bride walking up the aisle. I approached this wedding the same way except when I turned to get Ben’s reaction he wasn’t looking. I turned and photographed Ashley’s dad and grandpa walking her up the aisle, turned back to photograph Ben, still not looking. It wasn’t until Ashley’s dad was ready to give her away that Ben turned to look at his bride and his reaction was priceless (scroll down to see for yourself).
Thank you Ben and Ashley for choosing me to document your day one, the beginning of your legacy. I am so happy for you two and wish you a lifetime of love and laughter.
One of my favourite moment’s of the day.
