A Country Wedding at Handhills Lake Club
Country weddings, no matter how big, always feel so laid back and easy going. Cody and Hope’s was no exception. The day just flowed so easily and everyone came from near and far to help these two and their kids celebrate.
The weather was perfect for a late summer wedding. It was definitely 100 times warmer than their engagement session. This wedding was filled with so many personal little details. Like the Hope’s jewellery, they were a Christmas gift from Cody. Her grandma’s broach was sewn onto her garter, Jenner and his dad wore matching cowboy hats and all the ladies chipped in and made pie’s for the pie bar.
When I met with Cody and Hope before the wedding to discuss timeline, portrait locations etc. Hope mentioned to me that there was this barn and it was gorgeous. Cody showed me a picture on his phone and I was a tad excited to say the least. This barn was such a gorgeous backdrop. Thanks again to Shilo Cattle Company for letting us use it. It made my photographer heart happy!
This day was from start to finish a family affair and I loved every minute of it. Thank you to the newly Mr and Mrs Long for inviting me to capture your day one, the beginning of your legacy.
Ger grandma’s broach was sown into her garter.
