Badlands Engagement Session
From the moment I met these two at the coffee shop in Drumheller I knew they were exactly my ideal client in every way. Easy to talk to, loved to laugh and so in love. Since Jesse works away a lot we scheduled their engagement session not know that we would get the only beautiful fall day of 2018. I started their session as I always do and right away I knew it was going to be amazing. Jesse and Justine are naturals in front of the camera and they made my job so easy.
As we walked around their backyard…. YES!!! this is their backyard, can you believe it?!?! We chatted about the wedding and I couldn’t help myself but get excited since the wedding and all the portraits will be done in this location. I’m still in disbelief that this their backyard. Dream clients and an amazing location, what more can a photographer ask for?
If you have ever been to the badlands you know that the area is filled with bentonite clay, when wet, it is very slippery. As per usual I got into photographer mode and not paying attention to my surroundings, even though minutes before I heard Jesse say to Justine be careful it’s slippery, I wiped out and was covered in mud. Thankfully, after all that they still want me to photograph their wedding. I laughed all the way home. Why am I telling you this? Because in the world we live in everyone tries to show the perfect life. I’m just keeping it real.
I could have blogged every single image from their session, it was that amazing! I can’t wait to work with these two again.
